Saruni Samburu is a luxury safari lodge located in the heart of the Kalama Conservancy in northern Kenya, near the Samburu National Reserve. The lodge offers guests an exclusive and authentic African safari experience, with stunning views of the wilderness and a range of activities to explore the local wildlife and culture.

Guests can enjoy the vast panoramas from the dining and lounge area, the two swimming pools and the Samburu Wellbeing Space. Nearby there is a ground-level photographic hide next to a waterhole where the famous Samburu elephant, leopard, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx and Grevy’s zebra gather to drink.

It is about 7 km from the Northern border of the Samburu National Reserve (accessed through the Kalama Gate). It also borders Ngutuk Ongiron to the west, Namunyak Community Conservation Trust to the north and Sera Community Wildlife Conservation to the northeast.

The lodge is designed to blend in with the surrounding landscape and is made up of six cottages and one private villa, each with its own unique style and décor. The cottages are built with local materials and feature traditional Samburu design elements, while still providing modern comforts such as en-suite bathrooms and private verandas.

Saruni Samburu offers a range of activities to guests, including game drives, guided walks, cultural visits to local Samburu villages, and bush meals. The area is home to a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, and more, and guests have the opportunity to see these animals up close in their natural habitat.
