Tawi Lodge is located on a private conservancy of 6,000 acres five minutes from Kimana Gate.Staying at Tawi, you get the best of both worlds, a private conservancy and swift access to the one of Kenya’s most unique national parks.

At Tawi Lodge, there is a Swimming pool with sunbeds on wooden decks overlooking the waterhole. A large main lounge with a fire place and bar. A small upper deck lounge. Lovely gift shop. A fantastic spa, offering massages, pedicures, manicures and reflexology. An outdoor ‘hot tub’. Outside central fireplace and bar overlooking the waterhole.

The Lodge has of 13 cottages located on bushland with a wooden-deck veranda facing Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Most cottages at Tawi Lodge have a spectacular view of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Tawi Lodge can accommodate up to 30 guests. All ensuite, each has a large lockable wooden chest for safekeeping of valuables, spacious hanging cupboards and a fire place. Cottage 7 is suitable for wheelchair access.

Each cottage at this Lodge has its own wooden-deck veranda and a fabulous view of the highest mountain in Africa, even from the comfort of your bed or your bathtub. Double or twin cottages, all have en suite bathrooms fitted with both a bath and shower. Each cottage has its own fireplace and a minibar for those very special sundowners.

The style of the Lodge is a harmonious combination of modern (for your comfort) and traditional (to remind you that you are in Africa).

Before and after dinner, relax by the campfire, or at our very special “mobile” bush bar, and listen to the magical sounds of the savannah under the spectacular African sky where the stars seem brighter than anywhere else.

The attention to detail and the excellent and friendly service is particularly noticed whilst dining. Fine cuisine with selected produce grown in our own organic gardens irrigated with water from the Kilimanjaro surfaces through volcanic rocks and creates a very fertile soil.
